Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley Celebrates Five Years of Caring for Kern County

Aug 2, 2024

June marked a pivotal milestone for Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley as we celebrated five years of dedicated service. Over this period, our hospital has expanded its focus on our community’s well-being.

Thanks to a gift from Mark and Jessie Milano (pictured above holding flowers), we will accelerate the development of a new outpatient services building. This initiative, along with the expansion of the hospital’s graduate medical education program, aims to attract and retain skilled physicians specializing in rural family medicine.

Thanks also to Dr. Raul Ayala, ambulatory medical officer, who leads the network’s expansion of primary care and residency programs, for sharing his vision for advancing wellness and preventive health services in Tehachapi.

Jason Wells, president of Adventist Health in Kern County, emphasized the significance of these developments: “Our community will benefit greatly as new doctors gain valuable experience here and choose to build their careers within our region.” Excellent healthcare ensures that all individuals can lead healthy, productive lives.

By helping plant seeds of care today, you are helping Adventist Health foster a connected community that forms a strong foundation for a healthier future.
