A Journey of Gratitude

Mar 17, 2025

At Adventist Health AIS Cancer Center, every patient’s journey is unique, but one common thread binds them all — gratitude. Whether it’s for the compassionate care of a nurse, the steady hands of a physician, or the warmth of a volunteer, moments of healing often spark a deep desire to give back. That’s why we’re proud to launch the Grateful Journeys program, an initiative that allows patients and families to express their appreciation in a meaningful way.

Grateful Journeys is more than just a giving program — it’s a movement connecting the courage of our caregivers with the generosity of our community. Through stories, recognition and philanthropic support, this initiative empowers patients and their loved ones to honor their care teams and help future patients receive the same life-changing care.

There’s no better place to begin this journey than at our AIS Cancer Center, where healing extends beyond medical treatment. Patients battling cancer often form deep bonds with their physicians, nurses and staff who walk alongside them through every treatment, scan and milestone. Grateful Journeys offers these patients a way to say ‘thank you’ — not just in words, but in lasting impact.

Begin Your Grateful Journey Today:

  • Share Your Story – Patients and families can share about their healthcare journey, noting the caregivers who made a difference.

The Power of Gratitude in Healing

Studies show that gratitude can play a powerful role in the healing process. It fosters hope, strengthens resilience and brings a sense of peace to patients and families navigating uncertain times. Through Grateful Journeys, we hope to cultivate a culture where gratitude fuels generosity and generosity fuels even greater care for our community.
